Now, moving on to their printers, I must say they are one of the best! I remember having a Canon S200 back in the old days and I was satisfied with it, although everybody kept telling me that Canon will never be the leader in this field. They are not a leader, that’s for sure. But with every new printing gadget they release, they challenge even the leaders! From Bubble Jet to Laser Beam, to the Professional series and the SELPHY Compact Photo Printers, they’re nothing but high-class and hi-tech. Nonetheless, this is an area in which they still haven’t reached “adulthood” because their prices are a bit too inflated. Scanners, facsimile and multifunctionals. While their prices for the printers were a bit exorbitant, the scanners are really good and moderately priced. Flatbed (with or without film), Digital Microfilm, High Speed Document Scanners, they are all fabulous. Great features, unique characteristics and wisely built. But you can spare a lot more money by purchasing a multifunctional (bear in mind that other companies include a specific standard in a multifunctional: a “malfunctional”). Photocopier, printer and scanner all in one for only $225 (the MP390 – the Bubble Jet series) or for $375 (the MP960 – the Laser Jet series). Canon also offers solutions for fax needs: various Bubble Jet and Laser Jet products ranging from $100 to $900.
